Devblog 10 – Internal Steam version & damage knockback experiments
Welcome back to the Rekt Games devblog! Let’s get straight to it.
We’re proud to announce that we have an internal version working on Steam and that the future for Fightworld is looking bright! Soon, we will be inviting people to that version so that we can test gameplay, maps and overall feel of the game in 4v4 online. This is crucial to us since there’s only 4 of us but the game (so far) is made for 8 people in one session. It will mean we need people to join us, play with us and give us their insights on the good and bad aspects of the game.
Also, we’re continuing our gameplay experiments and one thing we’ve found to be hilarious is an increased knockback depending on how many times you’re hit. This calls for some crazy plays and is something we will be continuing to experiment on. Should the knockback effect increase indefinitely? Should it be based on how much HP is missing? Should there maybe be no knockback? What do you think?
