Devblog 12 – Our Steam version map!

Welcome back to the Rekt Games devblog! Let’s get straight to it.

This is the overview on one of the maps which we will begin testing with over Steam. This one will be a capture zone gamemode set over three different areas. The three rooftops that are connected will have one capture zone each. As of right now, they’re coloured in just white as we have not yet decided on some of the more detailed art, however, the map will be played like this. Also, please note that we have not started to place out any props yet and that this image is not the final version of how the map will be played.

On the image, there are a set of things we’ve showcased for the first time, which we will explain below.

  • The arrow markers are indicators for players where they should be moving towards for the capture zones.
  • The Gradient (pink to light blue) walls are indicators that there is a healthpack nearby.
  • The red walls are made as bouncers to prevent players from falling in that specific direction.
  • The green border (which can be seen clearly in the lower aspect of the image) is one of the capture zones.
