Devblog 4 – Map overdraw

Welcome back to the Rekt Games devblog! Let’s get straight to it.

Map Overdraw

This week we’re teasing an overdraw on one of the maps we’re currently developing. The idea of the map is still relatively rough, however, this is the map in Unity and is simply filtered out. We have begun working on setting the right lighting, the proper design and polishing the overall map design before we show what the in-game maps will actually look like.

This overdraw, however, is based on a capture the flag map where two teams start on their respective side, have to claim the enemy flag and bring it to their own base while still having possession of their own flag. The image shows different possible platforms and gives hints on where you are ment to run. When the map is fully finished, we will showcase it without the overdraw and instead, with proper lighting and perhaps even some online gameplay.
